Zirlott's Gulf Products is family owned and operated since 1987. The names "Zirlott and Johnson" are synonomous with seafood. Victor and Patricia, both, have worked in the seafood related industry since childhood. Vic's grandfather built wooden boats, a trade which Vic learned as he helped "Papa Ellis". The art of wooden boat building is fading. Grand-parents, parents, and other relatives of both Victor and Patricia worked in seafood. From tonging oysters, to shrimping, to running a crab line or operating a processing plant, the love of the fisheries has been and still is in their blood. As children, they both learned to "open oysters", de-head shrimp, pick crabs, etc. The two actually "courted" sitting side by side on oyster "benches"(and were making money, too). Six generations from both sides of their families of seafood experience is incorporated into the business. They have six children and 10 grandchildren. One son is a net fisherman and the other one is a shrimper. Two daughters work at Zirlott Seafood. One daughter works at a local hospital and the other one is a full time Mom. They still have "Sunday dinners" with all the family and are steadfast in their "faith in God".
The Zirlott family as well as the employees take pride in what they do. From boat captains to deckhands and from "cookers" to "pickers", everyone at ZirlottSeafood strives to provide quality seafood products. By ordering from ZirlottSeafood, you are supporting hard working American families.
Gulf coast seafood is one of the best tasting delicacies available. When you buy or eat seafood, please ask for shrimp, crab, or oysters from the Gulf of Mexico.
We really do "buy, sell, catch, and especially eat seafood"!
